900 treatments at KMC’s health camp [Photos]

RASUWA: FEB. 22 – A free health camp has started in Rasuwa from Monday. A two-day camp has been organized in Bhumedevi Secondary School-3, Thulogaun in collaboration with Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, Kathmandu and Uttargaya Rural Municipality, Khalte.

On the first day of the camp, 963 patients received free treatment. According to Narayan Dahal, general manager of KMC, 211 people had blood tests, 189 had video X-rays, and 154 had ECGs.

Twenty-four patients who arrived at the camp with dental issues had their teeth extracted, while 32 patients who could not be treated at the camp were referred to the hospital for surgery. Similarly, five patients have undergone general surgery.

KMC has been holding free health camps in different districts.

Since last year, when Dr. Sunil Sharma took over as chairperson of the KMC, the organization has increased the number of free health camps it operates. Meanwhile, KMC has already treated millions of patients for free.
