Nepal lost 2 wickets
KATHMANDU: FEB. 21 – Nepal has suffered an early setback after Canada set a target of 81 runs in the T20 Cricket World Cup.
Despite the usual target, Nepal has added 22 runs despite losing two wickets. Aasif Sheikh (17) and Kushal Malla (0) have been ruled out. Dipendra Singh Airee and Kushal Bhurtel are in the crease.
Canada, who had earlier won the toss and choose to bat, were bowled out for 80 in 15 overs. Nepal captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets, Kamal Singh Airee and Abinash Bohara took 2 wickets each and Kushal Malla took 1 wicket.
Nepal bowled sharply from the start and put pressure on the Canadian batsmen. Ryan Pathan (14), Navneet Dhaliwal (18), Salman Nazar (10) and Dillon Heyliger (24 not out) were the only batsmen to score double figures.
Canada, who lost nine wickets for 48 runs, shared 32 runs for the tenth wicket.
