KATHMANDU: FEB. 21 – Nepal has been set an 81-run target by Canada in the T20 Cricket World Cup. Canada won the toss and elected to bat, but they were bowled out for 80 runs in 15 overs.

Nepal captain Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets, Kamal Singh Airee and Abinash Bohara each took two, and Kushal Malla took one.

Nepal bowled sharply from the start and put pressure on the Canadian batsmen. Ryan Pathan (14), Navneet Dhaliwal (18), Salman Nazar (10) and Dillon Heyliger (24 not out) were the only batsmen to score double figures.

Canada lost 9 wickets for 48 runs and shared 32 runs for the tenth wicket.

Nepal, which has four points from two games, will advance to the competition’s semifinals if they win the game and finish first in their group.
