Chitra Bahadur KC condemns ‘police intervention’ in civic protest

KATHMANDU: FEB. 21 – Ruling partner Rastriya Janamorcha has criticized what he said ‘police intervention’ in a civic demonstration held on Sunday in the central capital against the US-aid project, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Chitra Bahadur KC, the coalition partner’s chair, issued a press statement today wishing for the quick recovery of those injured in the scuffle and demanding that the government ensure their medical treatment.

He reminds the party in the statement that it has been opposed to the MCC Compact since its beginnings.
