It is positive that MCC been tabled in Parliament : Baburam Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: FEB. 21 – Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Chairperson of the ruling JSP’s Federal Council, stated that the presentation of the US aid agreement to the MCC Parliament was positive.

The MCC agreement was tabled in the House of Representatives on Sunday, as agreed by the ruling parties. Former Prime Minister Bhattarai expressed happiness over the move, saying it would benefit democracy and the national interest.

“The presentation of the MCC resolution in the parliament, the highest body exercising the sovereignty of the people, is positive for Nepali democracy and the national interest,” he said. Let’s decide on the basis of facts and national interest, not under the pressure of party and factional demands and power centers. ‘
