NOC suffered a 2.15 billion loss in 15 days
KATHMANDU: FEB. 20 – Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter on Feb 1, breaking the record again. With effect from Saturday night, the corporation raised the price of petrol by Rs 3 to Rs 145 per liter.
Diesel and kerosene prices have also risen by Rs 3 each to Rs 128 per liter. The prices of aviation fuel and natural gas have remained unchanged. According to Puskar Karki, an assistant spokesperson for the Nepal Oil Corporation, the price in the Nepali market had to be raised due to the rise in crude oil prices in the international market. “We have not raised the price at the rate that it has raised. That is why we are still at a loss, “he said.
He stated that even with the price increase, the corporation will lose Rs 2.15 billion in the next 15 days. The recent increase in the international price of crude oil has had an impact on the Nepali market.
