KARNALI: FEB. 18 – Karnali State Chief Tilak Pariyar has insisted on the need of keeping impartiality, transparency and integrity of the Public Service Commission (PSC) intact.

In his address to a ceremony held to mark the first establishment day of State PSC today, the State Chief sought the increased role of the State body of PSC to produce an efficient workforce useful for the development of the State. “The PSC is not expected to make a delay in selecting and recommending required human resources,” he asserted.

Also speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi informed the ceremony that the formulation of the draft for the State Civil Act was about to be complete and they were preparing to table the document in the upcoming winter session of the State Assembly. As he said, the document will be further dealt with through a fast track.

State PSC Chair Ram Prasad Upadhyay apprised that the lack of the Civil Act for the State had created confusion in regard to facilities for civil servants at the State and local levels.

The function was attended by State ministers and secretaries as well.
