UCPN (M) meeting postponed till March 4

KATHMANDU: FEB. 18 – The meeting of the Central Committee of the UCPN (M) has been postponed till March 4.

According to Prachanda’s private secretariat, the meeting had to be postponed due to the busy schedule of the leadership. “Due to the current political ups and downs and the busy schedule of the leadership, the meeting of the party’s central committee scheduled for Feb 20 and 21 has been postponed and scheduled for March 4.”

The meeting, which was originally scheduled for February 20 and 21, has been rescheduled for March 4. The UCPN (M), which convened its 8th National General Convention last Poush (Dec/Jan), has not been able to elect a central office-bearer other than the chairperson.

The meeting to be held now is electing the central office bearers including the general secretary.

The meeting has been postponed once before.
