570 cases, 1,993 recoveries, 6 deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: FEB. 17 – COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 570 more people in Nepal in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9,789 samples were tested across the country. The PCR test of 7,028 people has confirmed the infection in 364 people and the antigen test of 2,761 people has confirmed the infection in 570 people including 206 people.

At the same time, the ministry reports that six more people have died and 1,993 have been recovered.

There are currently 16,616 active cases across the country. Six hundred of them are hospitalized, with 151 in intensive care units and 26 on ventilators.

In the meantime, 164,475 people were vaccinated today.
