Prachanda-Nepal talks to decide on MCC
KATHMANDU: FEB. 17 – Before the meeting of the five-party alliance, discussions are being held between CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN-Unified Socialist Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal. According to the Maoist Secretariat, the two leaders are meeting at the Parliamentary Party of the Maoist Center in Singha Durbar.
The JSP has also taken part in the discussion. Rajendra Shrestha, the leader of the JSP, has also taken part in the discussion.
The two leaders met prior to crucial discussions in order to reach an agreement on MCC in the alliance. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to present the MCC to the House of Representatives on Friday.
Before that, the five parties are having crucial discussions. Though preparations were made to present the MCC in the House of Representatives sitting on Wednesday, it was stopped at the request of UCPN (M) Central Chairperson Prachanda.
