Different vaccines against COVID-19 can be vaccinated

KATHMANDU: FEB. 17 – The government has stated that the first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine may be given by different companies. The Ministry of Health and Population on Wednesday recommended that any other vaccine be given as a second dose and booster dose as it had been vaccinated earlier.
Dr Sangita Mishra, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said the ministry had issued the circular on the recommendation of recent scientific studies. “No new vaccine has been recommended, she said, adding that the ministry had issued the circular on the basis of the recommendation of the vaccination committee based on the new study.
According to Dr. Sher Bahadur Pun, head of the research unit at Sukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku, different vaccines against COVID-19 would not make much of a difference.
‘Even when vaccinated differently, the first and second doses make little difference.’ There is no need to be concerned because vaccination is recommended in Nepal. There would have been a widespread concern if a new vaccine had been recommended. He stated that it is preferable to receive the first dose of vaccine as soon as possible, but if this is not possible, other company vaccines can be vaccinated.
However, those who received Covishield in the second and booster doses reported health problems such as fever and headache. Dr. said that since this is normal, there is no need to be afraid.
He stated that there is no need to be concerned about health safety because common symptoms such as fever and headache can be seen while receiving the Covishield vaccine. He stated that such a problem is not seen in everyone and that those who have seen it will return to normalcy in a matter of days.
Recalling that such problems were seen even when the first dose of Covishield was applied, he stated that for those who did not apply the first dose of Covishield, problems such as general fever and body aches were common when the second dose of Covishield was applied.
