MCC should be discussed in Parliament: Leader Rawal

KATHMANDU: FEB. 16 – Dr. Bhim Rawal, leader of the CPN-UML, has stated that the US aid project MCC should be discussed in the House of Representatives.

Talking to reporters after the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Rawal said that the MCC was linked to Nepal’s sovereignty and independence and should be discussed in Parliament.

He stated, “We, the Nepali people’s representatives on national issues, should have been able to uphold the provisions of the MCC. The people should have known about it through the parliaments.” It is not appropriate to avoid discussing sensitive issues concerning national independence and independence, as well as the concerns of the Nepali people.
