Clashes between protesters and policemen against MCC

KATHMANDU: FEB. 16 – Clashes erupted in Kathmandu’s Bijuli Bazar between protesters and police over the MCC agreement.

Protesters were stopped by police at Bijuli Bazar on their way to Naya Baneshwor. Several protesters were injured during the clash between protesters and police at the time.

Opponents of the MCC chanted slogans such as “No need for MCC, reject MCC agreement”. Youths close to the CPN (Revolutionary) have staged a protest against the MCC.
