Oli said, “We are not trying to save JB Rana”

KATHMANDU: FEB. 14 – CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has stated that the party will not defend Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana.

At a meeting of the UML parliamentary party on Monday at Parliament House in Baneshwor, Oli stated that protesting the trend of time and power alliance by not defending Chief Justice JB Rana.

According to UML Parliamentary Party Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai, Chairperson Oli stated that he could not carry Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana.

Quoting Oli, Bhattarai said, “The impeachment motion against the Chief Justice is now a trend to postpone or delay the election, pass the MCC anyway and continue to attack democracy.” This is not just an individual attack, it is an attack on democracy and the constitution as a whole. “
