What does UML say about impeachment against Chief Justice?

KATHMANDU: FEB. 13 – The UML has stated that it has taken the impeachment petition filed against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana in the Parliament Secretariat on Sunday seriously.

Bishal Bhattarai, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, informed Makalu Khabar that the ruling coalition had not consulted with the CPN-UML before bringing the impeachment against the Chief Justice.

He said, “UML has not formed an opinion about the impeachment. But since the impeachment was registered without consulting us, we have taken it seriously. We have called a meeting of the parliamentary parties to discuss this tomorrow at 11 o’clock. ‘
