Chelsea won the Club World Cup title

KATHMANDU: FEB. 13 – Chelsea has won the FIFA Club Football Championship. The club won the World Cup for the first time last night, defeating Brazilian club Palmeiras 2-1 in the final match.

After a 1-1 draw in the first 90 minutes, the game was decided in extra time. Chelsea’s Kai Havertz scored from the penalty spot in the 117th minute of extra time to give Chelsea the victory.

Earlier, Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring in the 55th minute, while Palmeiras’ Raphael Veiga equalized with a penalty in the 64th minute.

Chelsea, who were runners-up in 2011, have won the Club World Cup for the first time with this victory.
