KATHMANDU: FEB. 13 – The government has decided to provide a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to all citizens over the age of 18 beginning today. All those who have completed 6 months of booster dose vaccination will be given the second dose.

Based on the availability of booster doses, the Ministry of Health and Population has decided to administrate Covishield, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Pfizer vaccines.

Previously, the government had also given different vaccines in booster doses based on the mix-and-match concept.

The ministry has requested that those infected with COVID-19 receive a booster dose of the vaccine one month after recovering from infection.
