KATHMANDU: FEB. 11 – Five people have been identified who died in a fire at a shoe and slipper warehouse at Tulsipur in Dang district.

The deceased have been identified as 13-year-old Sajita Khatun, 15-year-old Hassan Baksh, 13-year-old Manish Baksh, 5-year-old Aviddin Ali and 40-year-old Nazar Div Ali, police said.

The deceased’s bodies have been kept in the Rapti State Hospital morgue. According to police, a rescue worker was also injured in the incident. Amar Dangi, 38, is being treated, according to the Area Police Office in Tulsipur.

A fire broke out in a four-storey house of Iram Footwear Slipper Warehouse at Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan-5 ‘E’ line on Thursday night. A police team on patrol at around 2.45 am on Friday saw the fire. Despite efforts to contain the fire, it was brought under control after about five hours

Area Police Office Tulsipur, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, locals, and fire brigades from Tulsipur and Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan areas put out the fire.
