KATHMANDU: FEB. 11 – The Nepali national cricket team, which has arrived in Oman with the goal of playing the ICC T20 World Cup for the second time, is playing a four-nation series starting today. Nepal will face the home team in a match starting at 4:15 pm on Friday at Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman.

The series involving Nepal, Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ireland is a good opportunity for the Nepali team to improve its weaknesses. While Sandeep Lamichhane will captain for the first time in Oman, Vivek Yadav, Lokesh Bam and Sagar Dhakal will play for the senior team for the first time.

The top two teams of both groups will reach the semifinals. The two teams that reach the semi-final stage will reach the World Cup qualifiers.
