RPP meeting being held
KATHMANDU: FEB. 10 – The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is holding a meeting in Kathmandu today to discuss the recent dispute.
Sundar Pandey, the party’s leader, announced that a meeting will be held in the afternoon at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi to discuss how to put an end to the growing factions and sub-factions within the party and how to ensure success in the upcoming election by protecting the party from possible divisions.
The meeting will review current political developments and will also discuss the necessary action plan for the organization’s political and social activities across the country. The party has 31 office bearers, with seven elected chairpersons and twenty-four nominated.
Former Chairperson Kamal Thapa left the party on Tuesday, expressing dissatisfaction with the newly elected working committee from the Ekta General Convention last Mangsir (Nov/Dec), led by Rajendra Lingden. Some leaders of the Thapa faction, who did their homework to form a new political party, are continuing to leave the party.
