tateSURKHET: FEB. 9 – The Surkhet High Court issued a show-cause order on Wednesday in response to a writ petition filed against the expansion of the Karnali Council of Ministers.

On Tuesday, advocates Sher Bahadur Khatri and Tika Bista filed a writ petition alleging that inclusive principles were not followed in the cabinet expansion.

The order was issued to the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers by a single bench led by Chief Justice Shesh Raj Siwakoti.

Why the order should not be issued as per the demand of the writ petitioner? If there is any reason, basis, or evidence why the order should not be issued, the date of receipt of the notice is ordered to submit a written response within 15 days, unless the time limit is exceeded.

Furthermore, it has been stated that it is appropriate to reach a conclusion after hearing both parties’ perspectives on the interim order.
