KATHMANDU: FEB. 9 – The match between Nepal Police Club and Chyasal Youth Club, which was postponed in the ninth phase due to COVID-19 infection, is being played today.

The match between Police and Chyasal, which was postponed by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) due to COVID-19, will be played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor at 1 p.m. It had previously scheduled to compete on February 5, but the game was pushed to Wednesday (Feb 9) due to poor field conditions.

Previously, the game was scheduled for January 16. However, ANFA decided to postpone the game at the last minute after 19 players from Chyasal were confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19.

This season, both Police and Chyasal are struggling to increase their league points. Both teams, which didn’t perform well in the previous round, are looking for a decisive three points in the ninth round. Chyasal is also under pressure to leave the relegation zone. Police are currently ranked 11th in the league with 7 points after 8 games.

Police have won four games, drawn four, and lost three. Similarly, Chyasal has 5 points from 8 games and is in the relegation zone. Chyasal, ranked 13th, has won one game, drawn two, and lost five. According to ANFA, the 10th phase of the league will begin on Feb 11.
