1,957 new cases, 5,103 recoveries, 11 death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: FEB. 8 – In Nepal, an additional 1,957 people have been infected with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 12,692 samples were tested across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. A PCR test of 8,587 people confirmed the infection in 1,184 people and an antigen test of 4,105 people confirmed the infection in 773 people.

According to the ministry, another 11 people died during the same time period.

Similarly, 5,103 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours. Currently, 36,181 people are actively infected across the country.
