Dabur Nepal to add Rs 9.68 billion investment

KATHMANDU: FEB. 8 – Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd., a multinational company, plans to invest Rs. 9.68 billion in Nepal.

The board meeting on Tuesday approved the company’s plan to increase investment, according to Raju Guragain, information officer at the Investment Board office.

Dabur Nepal is owned by Dabur International Limited, which owns 97.50 percent of the company. Rukma Shumsher Rana, a Nepali partner, owns the remaining 2.5 percent of the company. Dabur Nepal, which first ventured to Nepal in 1989, began producing a variety of products from 1992.

Dabur Nepal, with yearly revenue of more than Rs 500 million, has established itself as Nepal’s largest exporter of goods.
