Deuba and Dahal demanded a parliamentary probe into MCC letter

KATHMANDU: FEB. 7 – The lawmakers have demanded a parliamentary inquiry into Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s letter of commitment to the MCC headquarters.

MP Bhim Rawal urged that Deuba and Dahal send a letter to the MCC headquarters to probe the six-point commitment letter at a meeting of the International Relations Committee on Monday.

He demanded that the committee probe the letter sent by Deuba and Dahal on Sept 29 that undermined Nepal’s diplomacy. It has also lowered Nepal’s self-esteem, he added.

Deuba and Dahal wrote a letter to the MCC headquarters that was made public yesterday.
