Electricity, communication services resume

GALESHWOR: FEB. 7 – Electricity and communication services of Gurja at Dhaulagiri rural municipality in Myagdi district that were obstructed due to snowfall occurred on Thursday and Friday have resumed.

Chairperson of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-1, Jhak Chhantyal, said that the electricity and communication services have resumed after three days after carrying out repair and maintenance of the equipment with the help of locals.

The snowfall occurred from Feb 3 morning had damaged the electricity and communications-related equipment. Gurja area is still witnessing more three feet of snow, he shared.

Similarly, efforts are underway to resume trekking route from Lulang to Gurja obstructed due to snowfall, added Chhantyal.
