Three arrested for flying black balloons at Singha Durbar premises

KATHMANDU: FEB. 6 – The UML-affiliated youth association has flown a black balloon over the Singha Durbar premises, demanding that the date of local elections be announced immediately.

The Singha Durbar Youth Association has flown a black balloon in the restricted area, requesting that the government announce the election date.

After the youth association workers objected to the criteria, police arrested them. Meanwhile, Ganesh Thapa, Jayaram Lama, and Ajit Lama, central members of the National Youth Association, have been arrested.

Protests staged by unionist organizations close to the UML have requested the announcement of a date for local elections.
