Gokarneshwor reopens schools [Photos]

KATHMANDU: FEB. 6 – The schools in Kathmandu’s Gokarneshwor Municipality are open. The schools have reopened after the municipality’s decision to operate community and institutional schools within its jurisdiction beginning today.

The education branch of the municipality had decided to run the school physically on the initiative of school administrators, parents and people related to the education sector.

Saraswati was worshipped today, according to Om Prasad Dhakal, joint secretary of PABSON Kathmandu and headmaster of Liberty Academy, informed Makalu Khabar that the fresh admission push by opening a school corresponded with Saraswati’s worship.

Regular reading will begin tomorrow, he adds, in accordance with health regulations. Gokarneshwor had already granted permission to reopen the school even though it had been closed in the second wave of COVID-19.
