City, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham in the fifth round
KATHMANDU: FEB. 6 – Manchester City, Tottenham, Everton and Chelsea have entered the fifth round of the FA Cup. In a different game on Saturday night, English Premier League leaders Manchester City beat Fulham 4-1 to reach the last 16.
Riyad Mahrez scored twice and İlkay Gündoğan and John Stones scored once each to give City the win at home. Fabio Carvalho scored in the fourth minute of the game to give Fulham the lead. But the home team City returned the goal in two minutes and came back with a comfortable victory.
Macaulay Gillesphey scored in the eighth minute of the game at Chelsea’s home ground Stamford Bridge to give the visiting team Plymouth an early lead. But captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso scored to give Chelsea the win.
Similarly, Tottenham beat Brighton 3-1. Harry Kane scored twice and Tottenham scored one goal in Tottenham’s win. In the next game, Frank Lampard made a good start as manager and Everton beat Brentford 4-1.
