KATHMANDU: FEB. 5 – On Saturday, 1,714 more people were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19. A total of 8,513 samples were tested across the country.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,225 cases were confirmed today using the RT-PCR method and 3,288 using the antigen method.
Likewise, there are 316 cases in Kathmandu, 43 in Bhaktapur and 104 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 463 cases.
COVID-19 infection has claimed the lives of nine additional persons in the previous 24 hours. However, 4,771 people have been fully recovered with COVID-19.
Currently, 52,780 people are actively infected across the country.
Meanwhile, 588,440 people were vaccinated today.
