KATHMANDU: FEB. 3 – The COVID-19 infection rate in Nepal has fallen by an average of 11.8 percentage points in one week, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

During the ministry’s daily news briefing, spokesperson Dr Sangita Mishra said that, despite the decrease from the previous week, the risk remains.

More Omicron variations have been found in recent COVID-19 infection studies in Nepal. On Wednesday, Nepal’s overall infection rate was 31.4 percent. 3,667 of the 19,582 samples tested were found to be infected.
