Chances of rain with thunder and lightning today

KATHMANDU: FEB. 3 – At present, there is being changed in State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki States. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather has changed across the country due to the influence of western winds.

In the afternoon, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected in most parts of Far West, Karnali and Lumbini States and some parts of Gandaki and Bagmati States.

On Friday, there will be normal to complete cloud cover across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many parts of the country. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Gandaki and Lumbini States. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in most parts of the high mountainous and mountainous regions of the country.

On Saturday, there will be a general change in State 1, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki States of the country and there will be partial transfer in other provinces. There is a possibility of light rain in a few places of States 1, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki and in one or two places of hilly areas of other States. Light snowfall is also expected in a few places in the high hills and mountains of the eastern and central parts of the country.

According to the Division, this seasonal system will affect the daily life of the people including airspace, mountaineering, agriculture and transportation. The department has also requested to take necessary precautions to avoid the effects of cold and snowfall from Sunday.
