Nepal’s 1-0 lead against Mauritius

KATHMANDU: FEB. 1 – In the second friendly match against Mauritius, the Nepali national football team has taken a 1-0 lead. Till the end of the first half of the match at Dasharath Stadium, Nepal had a 1-0 lead.

Nepal took the lead in the tenth minute of the match after Sujal Shrestha scored. When Pujan Uparkoti made a back pass to Aashish Lama, Sujal scored a one-touch goal.

Mauritius failed to convert a penalty into a goal just three minutes after Nepal took the lead. Kiran Chemjong, Nepal’s captain and goalkeeper, saved Captain Andy Sophie’s penalty.

Dinesh Rajbanshi of Nepal fouled Linsley Bersi inside the penalty area, earning Mauritius a penalty.

On Saturday, Nepal defeated Mauritius 1-0 in the first friendly match.
