ANNFSU shown black flag to government spokesperson Karki

KATHMANDU: FEB. 1 – The ANNFSU, a student organization affiliated with the UML, has shown government spokesperson and Information Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki with a black flag.

ANNFSU held a demonstration outside the minister’s quarters in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, requesting that the date of the local elections be announced immediately. At the same time, the students stopped Minister Karki’s car and displayed a black flag after he emerged from the quarters.

On Monday, the UML agreed to mobilize all of its groups in order to demand that the date of local elections be announced immediately.

The ruling coalition is preparing to hold local elections in Jestha (May/June).
