Services closed for a week after CDO tests positive for coronavirus

SIMKOT: FEB. 1 – The administrative works have been halted for a week at District Administration Office, Humla after the assistant Chief District Officer tested positive for coronavirus. The Office issued a notice on Monday and informed the public about the closure of the office for a week.

Assistant CDO Dasharath Rai was tested positive for coronavirus. The Office reiterated that services were halted in a bid to contain the spread of the virus. Similarly, people have been urged to stay aware and safe by avoiding crowds in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The infected assistant CDO Rai is currently in home isolation. Those who come in contact with Rai have been planned for the PCR test. The third wave of coronavirus had begun in Humla from Jan 21 with the infection found among eight staffs at the District Hospital and one employee at Land Revenue Office.

All those infected earlier have got recovery from the virus. Now, the number of people contracted with the coronavirus has reached 10 in the third wave.

Meanwhile, the DAO has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the service closure for a week.
