KATHMANDU: JAN. 31 – Discussions have taken place between the three top leaders of the ruling coalition.

Discussions were held between the three top leaders of the ruling party, Prime Minister and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal.

On Monday, discussions about the MCC and local elections took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. According to Baluwatar sources, Prachanda proposed amending some points of the MCC during the meeting.

The MCC has been registered in the House for approval. However, it has yet to be tabled. When the MCC is set to be tabled at the next meeting, the leaders are engaged in discussions. The ruling coalition is not unanimous about the MCC.
