PM Deuba and Chairperson Prachanda meets

KATHMANDU: JAN. 31 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has met.

On Monday morning, the two leaders met at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar. During the meeting, it was said that the approaching election, MCC, and current politics were discussed.

Prime Minister Deuba has taken the initiative to have the MCC passed by parliament while the ruling coalition is debating it.

Meanwhile, both Maoist Chairperson Prachanda and CPN Unified Socialist Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal support amending the MCC. On the other hand, the UML is awaiting official statements from the ruling parties.
