“Let’s pass MCC, let’s stop country from becoming poor,” Baburam stated once more

KATHMANDU: JAN. 31 – Dr Baburam Bhattarai, the chairperson of the ruling coalition party JSP’s Federal Council, has urged passage of a US aid project (MCC). He urged the parliament to pass unanimously on the MCC agreement as soon as possible.

The MCC, according to Bhattarai, who is also a former prime minister, should be explained to the people unanimously. ‘Let Parliament pass the MCC agreement unanimously as soon as possible.’ “Let us all get together and explain ourselves to the people,” he urged.

Bhattarai claimed that if the MCC was not passed, the country would be even poorer, but that the country would not be ruined by the manipulation of power centers.

Let this case not be a bone of contention for Nepal’s conservative ‘communists’. Let the country become more impoverished and the population not decrease further. He further said that the country should not be ruined by the manipulation of power centres.
