New feature in Nagarik App: Vaccine card with ‘QR code’ can be availed from today
KATHMANDU: JAN. 28 – A new feature has been added to the Nagarik App operated by the Government of Nepal. The government has brought the updated version 1.4.8 of the citizen app on Android since Thursday night.
You can now apply for a COVID-19 vaccine and receive a vaccine card with a QR code as part of the new update. Although an update for the iOS version has been submitted, it is expected to take a few days to be available.
The family branch of the health service department is said to approve the vaccination card application within 12 to 24 hours. After that, you can get the COVID-19 vaccine card in Pdf file from the Nagarik App.
What is required when applying online?
To apply online for a vaccine card with a QR code, you need to disclose the details of citizenship, passport, driving license, etc., proof of identity, vaccination card, passport size photo, etc.
However, if the name of the local level, the name of the vaccination center and the seal are not clearly understood on the vaccine card of COVID-19, the QR code will not be verified. If you have such a vaccination card, you should contact the immunization center immediately.
You can also find out if the certificate with your QR code has been verified from the Nagarik App. However, legal action will be taken against those found uploading fake documents. You can also apply online for the COVID-19 vaccine from the Nagarik App. However, there is no guarantee of vaccination as soon as the form is filled.
Vaccines are said to be available on the basis of availability. Anyone over the age of 12 who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 but are willing to be vaccinated will be able to fill out this form voluntarily.
The form should include your full name, full address, date of birth, occupation, health status, mobile number and identity card number, citizenship, national identity card, driver’s license, voter identity card, passport, disability identity card, birth registration, etc.
By filling the form in this way, information can be obtained as to which center will be vaccinated. Also, the details obtained from this application form will be used for planning and management work related to vaccination at the local level.
How to get a vaccine card with a QR code?
To get a vaccine card with a QR code, you have to go to Google Play Store or iOS App Store and download Nagarik App. But if the app has already been downloaded, you will have to go to the Play Store and update the app.
For iOS, this version update will be available in a few days. If you do not see the update in the Play Store, then you have to go to the app through the settings of the phone, clear the cache of Google Play Store and go back to the Play Store to update.
After the app is updated to version 1.4.8, there will be a ‘COVID vaccination’ option. By clicking on it, you can go to the verification option for the vaccine card with pre-registration and QR code for the online application and fill the application by clicking on the plus icon in the bottom right corner.
