KATHMANDU: JAN. 28 – COVID-19 infection is spreading rapidly in Nepal and is gradually declining. Looking at the statistics of the last three days, it is seen that the infection rate is decreasing.

The COVID-19 was confirmed in 2.6 percent of those tested on Jan 3. This rate had increased to 9.1 percent on Jan 9. This number had reached 24.7 percent by Jan 14.

Thus, analyzing the statistics of the ministry, it is seen that the corona was confirmed at 31.8.8 percent on Jan 15. This number has reached 48.4 percent on Jan 19. After the spread of the third variant, Jan 24 seems to have reached an all-time high.

Of those tested on Jan 24, 48.6 percent have been confirmed infected. Since then, the transition rate has been steadily declining. While the infection was confirmed at 46.3 percent in Jan 25, it has dropped to 41.5 percent on Jan 26 and 36.8 percent on January 30.

According to the projection of the experts, the rate of Omicron infection seems to have decreased as it has spread at a faster rate. According to Prof. Dr Janak Koirala, similar tend have been seen in the world. ‘Statistics from other parts of the world show that this variant will be higher in 3 to 4 weeks and will gradually decline. Even in Nepal, it is slowly declining, ”he said.

Serious side effects if not vaccinated
