KATHMANDU: JAN. 27 – The current smart lockdown in Kathmandu Valley will be examined. A meeting of the chief district officers of the valley will be held on Friday to review the ongoing smart lockdown in the valley.

The health standards in the Kathmandu Valley, including the odd-even system of public transportation, will be examined, according to Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, the Chief District Officer of Lalitpur.

He said, “Everything will be examined, including the odd-even system in public transport.” We understand that. We are understanding the effectiveness of the ongoing smart lockdown in the Valley. We will examine all orders tomorrow. We will discuss and decide what is the best effect, what is the condition of it. ‘

By following health regulations, the valley’s main district officers agreed to implement an odd-even system in vehicles starting last Wednesday.

After receiving complaints that congestion has grown as a result of the implementation of an odd-even system in public transport, the administration has announced that steps have been taken to remove it from the review meeting.

In consultation with the CCMCC and the Ministry of Health, plans have been made to abolish the odd-even.
