Instructed to investigate the ‘chaotic activities’ of C.K. Raut’s cadres

KATHMANDU: JAN. 27 – The Madhesh government has directed the Janamat Party led by Dr C. K. Raut to investigate the ‘anarchic activities’ in Janakpurdham on Wednesday. Spokesperson of the state government and Finance Minister Shailendra Prasad Sah has issued a statement directing the concerned body to investigate the incident and compensate the victims and take action against the culprits.
Despite the absence of a pre-announced protest program, the state government will investigate the incident of vandalized on persons including State Assembly Member Ashok Yadav, Hariban Municipality Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Dr Satish Sah of Jaleshwar Hospital and vandalism of vehicles and directs the body, stated in the press release of the state government.
On Wednesday, Janamat Party cadres vandalized seven vehicles of the people’s representatives who had come to cast their votes in the National Assembly election. Police have arrested seven Janamat Party cadres involved in the vandalism.
Among the arrested are Bimalesh Mandal, 30, of Aurahi Rural Municipality-5 of Dhanusha, Pappu Panjiyar, 28, of Kanchanrup Municipality-1 of Saptari, Sushil Kumar Mandal, 31, of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-2 of Saptari, Jivach Yadav, 22, of Sukhipur Municipality-4 of Siraha, Arjun Sah, 18, of Bodebarsain Municipality-1, Saptari, Ram Bidehi Paswan, 35, of Ekdara Rural Municipality, Mahottari and Subedh Mandal, 30, of Kabilasi Municipality-2, Sarlahi.
The injured have been identified as Ashok Yadav, Member of the State Assembly, Dr Satish Kumar Sah, Medical Superintendent of Jaleshwor Hospital, Ganesh Prasai, Mayor of Hariban Municipality, Sarlahi and Renuka Poudel, Deputy Chief.
