Rai wins for women in State 1

BIRATNAGAR: JAN. 26 – Jayanti Rai of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party has been elected on behalf of women in the voting for the National Assembly member. She got 52 votes in the state assembly and 122 votes at the local level.
Rai, a candidate from the alliance, got 4,692 votes. CPN-UML candidate Sumitra Bhandari got 38 votes from the state assembly and 141 votes from the local level.
Her vote share has reached 4,362. RPP candidate Ranju Pyakurel, who got the third position, got 1 vote in the state and 4 votes in the local body.
