Jagat Parki wins from Far West

DHANGADHI: JAN. 26 – Jagat Parki has won the seat from the Far-Western state on the Dalit side. The UCPN (M) had fielded candidates from the central coalition. He was elected with 1872 votes for the state assembly and 1890 votes for the local level.

UML candidate Naresh BK, the nearest rival, got 576 votes for the state and 1206 votes for the local level.

Earlier, Garima Shah of UCPN (Maoist), a coalition candidate for women, had won.
