8,454 new cases, 5 deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: JAN. 26 – In the previous 24 hours, an additional 8,454 persons have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 across the country. Five persons have died as a result of COVID-19 infection at the same time.

PCR testing of 20,359 samples confirmed COVID-19 infection in 8,454 people, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. According to the ministry, 4,433 persons have been recovered in the last 24 hours.

COVID-19 has been confirmed in 1,054,088 of the 61,11,213 persons tested in Nepal.

A total of 8,31,712 persons have fully recovered in Nepal. According to the ministry, a total of 11,672 people have died so far.

So far, 41 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated, according to the ministry. In Nepal, there are 90,067 active COVID-19 cases.
