National Assembly election: Garima Shah wins from Far-West

DHANGADHI: JAN. 26 – Madan Kumari Shah (Garima) won the women’s seat in the National Assembly election from the Far-Western Region.

Shah, who is also the CPN-Unified Socialist Party’s central secretary and Far-Western in-charge, was elected as the ruling coalition’s women’s member candidate with 1872 votes in the state assembly and 1962 votes at the local level.

Her nearest rival UML candidate Santosh Kumari Thapa got 576 votes in the state and 1152 votes in the local level.
