Voting ended in Gandaki, 2 votes did not fall

POKHARA: JAN. 26 – Voting has ended in Gandaki under the National Assembly election. There are 6 candidates for 3 posts. Here 2 out of 229 votes did not fall. Lo-Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality chairperson Lopsang Chompel Bista and Baglung municipality vice-chairperson Surendra KC did not cast their vote.

Lopsang Bista is in the US while KC did not participate in the vote due to the party whip.

RPP had decided not to vote in Gandaki. KC has been elected from RPP. The deputy mayor of Beni, elected from RPP, has cast her vote. She has come to Pokhara to cast her vote against the party whip.

There are 59 MPs and 170 chief deputy chiefs at the local level.
