Sita Dahal, Prachanda’s wife, discharged from hospital

KATHMANDU: JAN. 25 – On Tuesday, Sita Dahal, the wife of CPN-Maoist Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, was discharged from Nepal Mediciti Hospital.

She was brought to the hospital last Friday with COVID-19 infection-related health problems. Dr Baburam Pokhrel, a Senior Consultant at the Department of Neurology involved in her regular health check-ups, led a medical team that treated her.

Dahal, who is in the intensive care unit, has been informed that her condition is improving and that she can return back home. Pokharel shared his information. He did say, however, that as soon as COVID’s condition improved, she was told to come to the hospital for further treatment.

According to Dr Nilamani Upadhyaya, Chief of Clinical Services and Education of the hospital, Nepal Mediciti Hospital with excellent technology, infrastructure and manpower treated her and discharged her on Tuesday due to improved health condition.

Dr. Upadhyaya said she was told to contact the hospital right away if she suffered any health problems.
