Civil Hospital Forms Committee to Investigate Journalist Bishwakarma’s Death

KATHMANDU: JAN. 23 – A committee has been formed at Civil Hospital to investigate the death of journalist LB Bishwakarma. After receiving a complaint that he had come to the hospital for treatment but was directed away without receiving the necessary treatment, the hospital formed an inquiry committee.

Under the direction of Emergency Department Chief Dinesh Kumar Lamsal, the hospital has formed a four-member investigating committee. Among them are Deputy Secretary Krishna Sapkota, Branch Officer Bhoj Raj Ghimire and Cash Counter Chief Bhesh Bahadur Basnet.

Earlier, the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) had also formed a study and screening committee. An FNJ investigation and study is now underway.
