3 killed and 3 others injured when a rock fell on a moving jeep

KATHMANDU: JAN. 23 – Three people were killed when a stone fell on a jeep in Okhaldhunga’s Siddhicharan Municipality.

According to Okhaldhunga Police, on Sunday morning, a jeep (Ko 1 Ja 3569) travelling from Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-1 to the district headquarters was involved in an accident at Siddhicharan Municipality-3 Dhungedhara.

A stone fell on the jeep while digging the road, according to the police. Hem Bahadur Magar, 30, of Manebhanjyang 1, Yusab Koirala, 10, and Unisha Koirala, 7, have been identified as the deceased. Yusab and Unisha are from the same family, according to the police.

The accident injured the driver as well as three other people. According to the police, two of the injured have been sent to Kathmandu.

The jeep was involved in an accident around 8:15 a.m. on Sunday.
